Things you should know about

The economy of you: Have you ever thought about launching a social token? Yes, we know crypto markets are a bit cool at the moment, but launching one has many benefits for creators. From rewarding your most ardent fans to earning an income way before you scale, Mario Gabriele has put together a deep dive on social tokens and why they may be the next big thing.

The content equivalent of a mixed tape: If you were a kid in the '90s, you probably remember that nothing showed you cared about someone more than making them a mixed tape. While mixed tapes are long gone, the concept behind them also applies to creating content. Brett Dashevsky has some advice on why you should remix and repurpose your content.

Newsletter platforms have a discovery problem: We know this is not news. As every writer would tell you, the number one channel for subscribers is Twitter, not a newsletter platform. This is precisely why Adam Ryan thinks that for platforms to be sustainable, they would need to solve the discovery problem. Why else would writers give them a 10% cut?!

Just for fun

How cool would it be to have Santa Claus as your Congress rep? Well, there's a chance that Alaskans actually find out. A candidate for Alaska's US House seat legally goes by the name Santa Claus and is currently serving as a city councilor for the community of North Pole (no joke!). Will he get elected? He's one of 48 candidates, so we wouldn't hold our breath. But hey, if anyone could pull off a miracle...
